Function of Active Ingredients

L-Ascorbic Acid

UVA and UVB rays from the sun can cause free radical damage deep in the lower layers of the skin. Free radicals attack the cells in the collagen and elastin, which can cause premature aging of the skin. L-Ascorbic Acid neutralizes these free radicals and help to promote collagen synthesis to prevent damage and premature aging. The only form of Vitamin C that can be absorbed and recognized by the skin is L-Ascorbic Acid. It is formulated at a Ph of 2.5-3.0 to remain active and effective in the skin.

White Tea Extract

"Highest potentcy"of the teas. Extracted at the bud stage, to lock in the maximum anti-oxidant activity. Process is unique to certain parts of China. The base chemical (Carmellia Sinesis) is the same found in all other tea plants, but unlike Black tea (which is rolled and dried, killing off most anti-oxidant properties), and Green Tea (which has a minimum of distillation), White Tea is harvested as a bud, then uniquely dried to preserve the interior chemicals, particularly the Polyphenols. The "White"names comes from the white hairs on the bud at that stage of growth.

White Tea is drinkable, has been used as a special health tea in China for centrues, and today several teas exist in speciality tea and health food stores. Only in the last couple years has research become available, however, regarding White Teas.

Linus Pauling Institute research on the Salmonella assay in vitro study – determination if a chemical can prevent DNA mutation. In the study, White Tea has 2-5 times the inhibition of mutation than Green Tea. In a second, in vivo study involving rats that were injected with a mutagen to produce colon cancer. Some rats were treated with white tea extract, and after 8 weeks the control group (only fed water) had 4 times the cancer rate of the rats with white tea extract.

Chemical analysis of White Tea Extract reveal that it is rich in Polyphenols, the same group of chemicals found responsible for the anti-oxidant and anti-mutagentic properties associated with Green Tea. White Tea is particularly rich in EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate), EGC (Epigallocatechin), and ECG (Epicatechin gallate) polyphenols, all of which are active free-radical scavengers, and have superior performance against certain free-radicals than Vitamins C or E.

Applications from topical use are that White Tea extract may prevent or suppress DNA mutations caused by UV radiation, and potentially helping to ward off skin cancer. The EGCG and ECG polyphenols have already been determined to help reduce erythemia (sunburn redness), and EGCG may also prevent collagen breakdown from UV radiation exposure.

Alpha-Arbutin

A glucoside of hydroquinone, Arbutin is really a naturally-occuring version of hydroquinone. The source of Arbutin, the Uva Ursi plant, has a unique natural ability to withstand lack of moisture, and as a result has been used in traditional medicine for centuries, specifically used as a common antiseptic. The Alpha-Arbutin is a more stable form of Arbutin that the more common beta-Arbutin. This translates into better performance for Alpha-Arbutin, as it can act faster and for a longer period of time than beta-Arbutin.

Hyaluronic Acid - The Secret to Moisturized Skin

Inside the dermis lies the intricate network of collagen and elastic fibers. Here lies the root to firm skin. Between these networks, lies a sticky, clear fluid, which can hold large amounts of moisture. This is Hyaluronic Acid, which is the secret to retaining moisture in the skin. One gram of Hyaluronic Acid can attract 500cc of water. By increasing the amount of Hyaluronic Acid, it allows the skin and its networks to be in an environment of water and moisture, which allows the skin to be firm and healthy.

Liposome

Professional Formula L-Ascorbic Acid is extracted by advanced biochemical technology. It is then wrapped in Liposome in high concentrations with a patented low-allergenic prescription to protect the acid from oxidation and to also preserve the active ingredients. The Liposome, which is a lipid sac can penetrate deep into the skin and release the L-Ascorbic Acid slowly for ultimate effectiveness and reduced irritation. Continuous application can correct aging symptoms such as: loose sagging skin, deep wrinkles and can lighten pigmentation due to overactive melanocytes. Liposome, thus promotes and heightens the effectiveness of the Acid and achieves whitening and anti-aging results.
